Daughter wore the 2 buckle boot for 3 years with out any issues.So bought the next size up. Have had no problems with flex, warmth or liner.The liner is accordion type that shrinks in the smallest size and expands in the largest size.As far as feeling the accordion ribs on the bottom (my daughter had no issues with them) you can get a thin footbed of any type to use that will negate the issue.Also the flex was fine for kids. One cannot compare the flex # between different companies. There is no standard.
